May 2015

May was super rainy this year! But we needed it. It made it seem like it wasn't almost summer yet though so the end of the school year snuck up on us!

Mother's Day was amazing. I got spoiled as usual :) I got a fitbit to wear around and help me track my steps/calories burned plus a thing for a pedicure or facial! Yay! Also flowers and sweet cards. On Mother's Day Eve my mom and 2 of my sisters went and pampered ourselves with pedicures and Brick Oven. I think it should be a tradition!

Glad these two make me a mom!

So thankful for my mom!

Lucy turned 10 months. I can't believe she's almost a year! She started army crawling forward and is getting around pretty good now. She eats really good, anything you give her plus Lily's leftovers :). She is super cuddly. Always nestling her head on your shoulder. She takes 2 naps a day still and sleeps pretty good at night but wakes up too early for my taste! Hopefully she'll sleep in in the summer when we start putting the girls to bed a bit later. She is a sweet heart who is always jabbering in her cute baby talk and flirting with people with her big black eyes and cute dimples. We love our Lucy!

Lily is loving dressing up as princesses, ballerinas, and Minnie Mouse, loves chocolate milk, building forts and castles, playing with her friends and cousins, watching her netflix shows, and being "Best Sisters" with Lucy. She always says she is like Elsa and Lucy is like Anna and then she tries to do a back to back pose with her usually resulting in knocking Lucy over :) She loves getting her nails painted now and putting on chapstick. She is very girly. She still carries dog around with her everywhere and talks to him like he's her best friend. She's so excited for the beach and Disneyland! She had to go to the doctor twice this month. First for sticking a popcorn kernal up her nose and then for running into my parent's corner of their kitchen counter and splitting her eyebrow open. She was so brave both times. She has a very high pain tolerance!

Here is another one of her when she got a black eye from running into our counter

Michael took a couple of personal days in May so we could go to the Zoo and to the Museum of Curiousity before it got too crowded with kids out of school. We had a blast! The Museum of Curiosity added a lot of stuff in the year since we had been and Lily was a lot happier this time so that made it more enjoyable for all. In our family its "if Lily aint happy aint nobody happy" :) Her favorite parts were the pottery wheel and the vets office. Lucy liked the water table and sitting on chairs.

The Zoo was fun because it had all these robotic dinosaurs and the new African Safari part was built! We also rode the train for the first time and we rode the carousel but Lily decided sitting on the bench was safer than riding one of those scary animals. It was a perfect day. Great weather and no crowds. After the zoo we went and ate our favorite pizza at The Pie. Soooooooo gooooooooood.

Lucy's first time at the zoo!
First train ride

Love this happy, laid back baby :)

My niece Katie returned from serving her 18 month mission in South Dakota this month as well! She was gone for all of Lucy's pregnancy and life so far! We are so happy to have her back. Lily, Lucy, and I got to go walk through the Payson temple with her and her family and my parents this month as well. Such a gorgeous place. Lucy was a snuggle bug and got fought over by my dad, mom, Judy, Katie, and Cece since she would lay her head on their shoulder and cuddle up. I had to hold Lily so I was so glad for the help! So thankful for temples and forever families!

Some pictures with cousins this month:

Michael finished his 6th year teaching! He is so ready for a break. He still writes articles for Orange Soda but gets to stay up late and sleep in during the summer so he loves that. The girls and I love having him home with us so we love summer too. I can't wait for our many adventures ahead full of campfires, swimming lessons, beach time, Disneyland, and Hawaii! Cheers to Summer!

First Snoasis of the season!

I think she liked it!
