Easter 2014

Easter weekend was awesome!

On Saturday we went to my parents house, the Stokers. We ate a delicious lunch of sloppy joes and salads, I brought deviled eggs, and we had a bunch of fruit and tasty desserts too. We colored some eggs and hung out. My parents have a bunch of bunnies roaming their yard. We were able to catch 4 baby bunnies in a trap. The kids all had so much fun cuddling the 4 baby bunnies. There was a black one, a brown one, a grey one, and a white one. My sister Tina ended up taking 2 home with her and my brother mike took home one as well. The other one was claimed by my parent's renters. Then we did our Easter Egg hunt. Lily loved grabbing the eggs. She made out pretty well too. After that we did our Egg Roll Easter Madness. I won the entire thing! Then we just relaxed, and played outside the rest of the day.

Michael was teasing the little ones all day that we were going to eat the bunnies and have some rabbit stew

On Sunday we went to Church and Lily wore her adorable new dress Grandma Malouf gave her. Then after church Lily got to go through her Easter Basket before her nap. That afternoon we went to the Maloufs for some yummy traditional Easter Dinner (ham, turkey, cheesy potatoes, asparagus, fruit). Then we played an estimation jar game and then Craig gave a spiritual thought about what Easter is really about. Then the kids got to hunt for eggs. Each kid has a certain color of eggs to search for. Lily's all had flowers or Minny Mouse on them or were a very shiny purply pink. Lily was excited about finding more eggs! After the egg hunt they each got a special golden egg that gave a clue as to where their Easter Basket would be. Lily's was, "In a place where Lily and Bruce like to splash" which meant the tub! She got lots of fun, cute things in her basket. Renee also gave the adults an Easter gift as well and there was even a gift for the baby in my tummy. Then we celebrated the April birthdays and had some yummy cake and ice cream.
