We have a 3 year old! A beautiful, smart, sensitive, funny, weird, amazing, active, strong, crazy, willful 3 year old! Lily is getting so mature lately. She is turning into a kid! Not my baby anymore. We are having so much fun with her. She is starting to get past the hard terrible two stage and is now officially a "threenager" but I'm liking it so far. She is getting more independent, is better able to express herself, and is just so cute and sweet. She is a great big sister to Lucy and is always making her happy and laugh. We love our Lily!
Lily's 3rd birthday fell on a Monday so that meant she got to have a birthday weekend! We kicked it off Friday night by going to this yummy crepe place in American Fork called Avenue Bakery. She loved it because they had chalkboard tables that she could color on the whole time and she actually ate some bites of the crepes.
Saturday, Jan. 31st was the big party! I can get a little crazy when I start planning my kids birthday parties. Maybe a little obsessive. Just ask Michael. He won't even let me start talking to him about it until it is less than a month away and even then he has to limit by saying, "You can talk to me about the party for 1 minute. Go.". I start thinking and daydreaming about it months before that. I had known for pretty much a year that I wanted to do a Disney Frozen birthday party for Lily. We decided to invite 10 of her cousins and friends to come to our house dressed in their favorite Frozen character outfit for some games, food, and cake! My sister Jana let me borrow her snowflakes. She decorated a couple of gorgeous winter weddings so had a massive amount of snowflake ornaments. My friend Mickelle who has the business http://www.madebymickelle.com/ has a little girl named Lily as well. She let me borrow the banners she made for her own daughter's party a few months back. I made some blue cupcakes with snowy, sparkly frosting and the kids a Frozen themed lunch. When the kids arrived I gave them their crown or antlers and a necklace and let them pick out a giant Frozen coloring sheet to color while we waited for everyone to show up. Then we played with some sparkly blue playdough for awhile. After that we played pin the nose on Olaf a couple times. Next we ate our lunch and then I read them a Frozen story. Then we opened presents and had cake! Lily did awesome blowing out her candle. She was really excited for that part. The kids got to take home a goodie bag full of Frozen themed stuff and their crown, playdough, and necklace. Unfortunately half of the kids couldn't come due to illness or a family baptism but Lily had a great time and that is what matters!

Later that night we went to Artic Circle with the Stapleys since they couldn't come earlier (baptism!) and the kids had a ball playing together there.
On Superbowl Sunday we celebrated Lily's birthday with the Maloufs. Renee had a Frozen theme going for her there too with cute plates and napkins and balloons. I made a big Frozen cake for Lily and she got to open a massive amount of presents. She was very happy! One cool gift she got from Grandma Renee was a cabbage patch doll she had been saving in her closet for about 10 years. The doll is names Renee Olivia! Our Lily's middle name is Renee after her sweet Grandma. Lily loves the doll. It is one where she eats a popsicle and get a blue face and has a special cloth to clean it up. Lily likes taking care of her.

| Opening presents can be tiring! I'll just take a load off! |

| We forgot to do a New Year's picture with their glasses so we did it today! Blake would have none of it :) |
On Monday, her real birthday she and I played with her new toys in the morning and went to storytime which she loves. After her nap Daddy came home from work and our little family went to Kangaroo Zoo and played our hearts out there and then went to Mcdonald's for some dinner and more playtime. When we got back home she opened her presents from us: An Elsa and Anna with Olaf and Sven Barbie set, a book rack for her room, and a pretty pink Hello Kitty nightgown. She loved them of course.

There will be more birthday celebration for Lily to come! She still has to celebrate it with my family when we do Michael's and mine and my sister and her husband's. So get excited to see pictures of an Elsa Barbie Cake! I can't wait to make it!
We went to the doctor for her 3 year check up and she was 27.4 lbs. (16%), 37.2 inches (56%). She is healthy and happy and well!
