The Malouf Family: August 2014

We went to Alpine Days as a family. We watched the parade with Craig, Chris,Alison, and their 3 kids. After the parade we looked at the cars and then walked around the booths. My talented friend Mickelle had a booth this year selling things for her business "Made By Mickelle". I had won $5 for her booth so I got a cute binky clip for Lucy. Lucy was really good. When we started walking back she started crying and screaming because she was hot and hungry. Luckily we were already on our way home! It was a fun family outing. Later that night Michael, Lily and I went to fireworks with Brad and Amber and their kids while Lucy stayed with Craig and Renee.

The family all went to my parents house to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire and play together. A lot of my family slept over. Lily was playing outside with some of her cousins on the swing set when she ran behind the metal glider teeter totter thing and got smacked right in the side of the head and she went flying. We took her to the doctor and they said she was fine! Phew!

August means back to school for Michael :( He has been super dad and husband since Lucy was born. He was taking care of Lily and letting me take naps all the time. It was a hard adjustment for him to go back and for me to have to really take care of 2 kids by myself! But we are surviving and getting into the swing of things. Its nice to start to have a routine again.

August is also our anniversary month! On August 20 we celebrated our 9 year anniversary by staying home with our sick girls. They both had colds :( August 26th marked 8 years of being sealed. We went on a date the next day to see Guardians of the Galaxy and ate at Smashburger. Thanks, Alison!

We went to my 10 year highschool reunion this month too. I was nervous about going but we actually had a great time. Hopefully more people come to the next one!

10 year highschool reunion

Little Lucy turned 1 month old on the 18th. Now she is 6 weeks old! She is such a sweet girl. She is getting strong at holding her head up. She nurses so much better than Lily did and is sleeping great. I have to wake her up to eat in the night. The longest stretch I've let her sleep so far is 7 hours straight! We are spoiled with good sleepers :)
